Coaching and admissions advising for Bay Area families.

The practice began with Bay Area families. We work with students in grades 6 to 12 from San Francisco to San Jose, on the Peninsula and in the East Bay, on video every week. First meetings can be in person, by arrangement.

For students with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and students with autism, we offer executive function coaching: educational coaching by teachers, alongside the care your student already has.

What we offer Bay Area families

Coaching starts with the quality of the teaching: an active, credentialed teacher who knows the subject and knows your student, every student, every session.

The middle and high school years are exciting, yet deeply formative, for character and for trajectory. Academics matter, but as teachers we know a student’s development is much more; it’s a balancing act with everything else in their lives. That’s why our experienced, credentialed educators start by understanding your student holistically, then co-pilot them through the big decisions toward aspirational goals, with intention and keen attention to how AI (artificial intelligence) is reshaping their future.

Academic coaching

Weekly, one to one, with a teacher who still teaches, inside your student’s real subjects. Impact projects add one to two years of real work, often with a local NGO (non-governmental organization).

Executive function coaching

For students with ADHD and students with autism: starting, holding the thread, remembering, judging time and riding a setback. Educational coaching by credentialed teachers, not therapy.

College admissions

Planning in years from grade 6, then the application year in grade 12, with Jose Magaña, a former Stanford University admission officer. The student writes; we advise.
